Dewas, 1938. In a small workshop lit by a single lamp, Late Shri Maniram Ji Soni began crafting jewellery the only way he knew how - with honesty. Every piece that left his hands carried his word: this is pure, this is real, this is made with care.

That word became his name. And his name became a legacy. 88 years later, that same workshop has grown into a name, families across Dewas and Indore trust without a second thought. Designs have changed with the times - but the promise hasn't moved an inch.

People in Dewas still call us "मानीरामजी की पुरानी दुकान।" We didn't choose that name - people did, over the years, and it stuck. That, more than anything, tells you what this story is really about.

It started with Mannalal Ji Soni. Son of Ganpatlal Ji. Maniram Ji studied up to matriculation in Kota, then came back to Dewas - and that's where he stayed, working with gold and silver, for the rest of his life.

He wasn't a complicated man. Honestly, what people remember about Maniram Ji has very little to do with jewellery. He was simple. He didn't lie, didn't cheat, didn't take shortcuts - not because someone told him to, but because that's just who he was. At the shop, at home, with neighbours - same person, always.

Maniram Ji was also part of the Arya Samaj at Patli Bazaar - not as a title, just someone who showed up, who was part of things.

There's an old line about him that's been repeated in our family for years: "Maniram Ji's garden - its fragrance reached every corner of Dewas." It wasn't a real garden. It was just... him. The way he treated people, the way he ran things. That kind of thing doesn't need announcing - it just spreads on its own.

We're four generations in now - and we'd like to think that's the part of him that's stayed with us the most.

There is a quiet elegance to how Radheshyam Ji speaks of his life's work - never in numbers, always in values. Ask him what has guided him all these years, and he offers a line his father once lived by, one he has carried forward with quiet conviction:

"Jaave laakh, bachi saakh; gayi saakh, toh bachi raakh." One may lose a fortune, but never one's good name - for once that is lost, only ash remains.

It is this belief that has shaped everything since - the steady growth of Maniramji Jewellers under his guidance, five terms as President of the Dewas Sarafa Association, and years devoted to the Dewas Blind School for Girls, given without expectation of anything in return. For Radheshyam Ji, business and character have never been separate things - one has simply always reflected the other.

Tradition into Modern Excellence

"There is no substitute for hard work."

It is a philosophy he has lived, not just stated - and you can see it in what he built. The modest "मानीरामजी की दुकान" his grandfather once ran has grown, floor by floor, into a multi-storey jewellery destination, each level shaped around a different facet of the craft. Yet walk through it, and the feeling is still the same one customers have known for decades - because Atul's own expertise in diamonds, gemstones, and fine jewellery comes wrapped in the same honesty his father and grandfather were known for.

Step outside the showroom, and you'll find him just as involved - an active member of BNI, former President of BNI Indore, often representing Maniramji Jewellers at major exhibitions across Madhya Pradesh. Ask those who know him well, and they'll mention his love for reading, art, and sport - the same curiosity that shows up in how he runs the business.

In many ways, Atul has simply continued a story that began long before him - carrying forward what his father and grandfather built, and adding new chapters of his own. The Indore showroom, the e-commerce platform, the Maniramji app - each one feels less like a departure, and more like the next step in something that was always meant to grow.

There is a quiet strength to how Aruna ji has moved through the world - not through titles collected, but through lives quietly changed. Ask her what has driven her all these years, and the answer is not ambition but conviction: that a woman who stands tall lifts others simply by standing.

It is this belief that has shaped everything - from her years as President of the Akhil Bharatiya Marwadi Mahila Sammelan between 2018 and 2020, to her leadership of the Lioness Club from 2020 to 2024, to her long-standing role as Patron of the Swarnkar Samaj since 1990, where she has spent decades encouraging women to step forward and claim their place. She has served on the board of a school for visually impaired girls, championed the causes of women's independence, child safety, eye donation, and organ donation and today, continues her service as Provincial Co-Treasurer of the Lioness Club.

For Kashvi, jewellery has never been just about the pieces - it's about the stories behind them.

Joining the family business in 2024, Kashvi Soni represents where Maniramji Jewellers is headed - without ever losing sight of where it began. A graduate of the prestigious Welham Girls' School, Dehradun, and holder of a BSc in Business and Marketing from the University of London, she brings a global perspective home, while staying deeply rooted in family tradition.

As a GIA Certified Jewellery Designer and the brand's Creative Director, Kashvi blends creativity, design expertise, and modern storytelling - shaping how a new generation discovers and connects with the brand. But long before any of these titles, she grew up around all of this - the workshop, the showroom, the conversations with customers who'd known the family for decades. That's where her understanding really comes from: years of quietly learning from her parents and grandparents.

What she enjoys most is helping someone find a piece that feels like them - something that reflects who they are, or marks a moment they'll remember. She has a clear sense of what today's audiences - especially younger ones - are drawn to, and she curates with that in mind, while making sure every piece still carries the values this family has stood for all along.
